USRBC, the Global Innovation Policy Center (GIPC) and the Skolkovo Foundation invite you to save the date for a discussion on "Supporting and Sustaining Innovation Drivers in Russia" on July 17, 2018 at Skolkovo. The event will include Skolkovo and industry experts and Russian government officials and will feature the presentation of a GIPC study on innovation-related economic and policy conditions in 50 countries to help inform Russian policymakers.
Research from economies across the globe has shown that innovative economies thrive when there is sensible regulation that enables foundational factors such as R&D funding and access to capital, foreign direct investment, infrastructure that allows for collaboration and exchange of ideas, intellectual property protection, and support for creative industries. Russia's great strides in innovation in recent years have spanned transforming the start-up landscape to modernizing infrastructure to injecting best practices into traditional industries. Next steps on the Russian government's innovation and growth agenda include advancing a digital transformation of the economy, ensuring a healthy workforce by 2030, and increasing Russia's global competitiveness.
Details on the agenda and speakers will be announced soon.
