The USRBC is pleased to support the RACHFEST 2017 International Festival on August 21-27, 2017 in Southern California. The RACHFEST 2017 International Festival is dedicated to renowned Russian composer, pianist, and conductor Sergei Rachmaninoff. RACHFEST 2017 is delighted to welcome the participation of musicians representing the European Union, Russia, the United States, and other countries. Festival events will be held in Los Angeles, specifically at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles and at the Granada Theatre in Santa Barbara.
The week-long festival will feature symphonic and choral concerts as well as a Rachmaninoff exhibition and an international piano contest. The highlight of RACHFEST 2017 will be the participation of the European Union's Youth Orchestra (EUYO), which includes 120 exceptional musicians representing each EU member country and Chief Conductor Vasily Petrenko, of Russian descent. This will mark the EUYO's first performance in California.
