The USRBC, in collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia (AmCham) and in cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), held a conference on "Eurasian Economic Integration: Developing Domestic Markets" on Thursday , March 24 , at the Swissôtel Krasnye Holmy in Moscow. This was the third in a series of joint AmCham-USRBC events which provided unique opportunities for the business community to engage with senior EEC officials and improve its understanding of the EEC's new regulatory framework impacting business.
After opening remarks by Tatyana Valovaya , EEC Minister for Development of Integration and Macroeconomics, Danil Ibrayev , Minister for Energy and Infrastructure, EEC, addressed issues related to the creation of international transportation corridors and common energy markets. Mukay Kadyrkulov , Minister for Customs Cooperation, spoke on Eurasian integration in the area of customs regulation. The EEC Ministers said that in six months the Commission will introduce a road map for developing Eurasian integration and define milestones for cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and business.
The event was co-moderated by Alexis Rodzianko , President & CEO of the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia, and Daniel Russell , President & CEO of the U.S.-Russia Business Council (USRBC).
