The successful candidate will have a B.A.; office and organizational experience in a corporate or trade association environment; solid computer skills exhibited through database and spreadsheet experience; strong interpersonal and telephone skills, and demonstrated comfort utilizing them with senior executives and government officials. Familiarity and experience with scheduling is required. Russian language skills are a plus. There may be occasional requests to assist with research. This position reports to the Executive Vice President/COO and the President/CEO.
The Administrative Assistant’s primary areas of responsibility include:Assistant to President and CEO
Handle correspondence, appointments/personal calendar and travel arrangements.
Handle incoming calls on the office switchboard, discerning the nature of the call and transferring it to the appropriate staff member; field inquiries of a general nature and respond to information requests from companies, government entities and the media.
Assist in the planning and execution of large conferences, small seminars and policy briefings.
Assist in maintenance of membership database, media and marketing lists, and other government databases.
The U.S.-Russia Business Council is a nonprofit, lobbying trade association that represents the trade and investment interests of its approximately 160 members, primarily U.S. and Russian companies. The Council seeks to expand and enhance the U.S.-Russian commercial relationship through issue advocacy with both the U.S. and Russian governments; troubleshooting and new business development; information and analysis to support business decisions; and access and networking opportunities with government officials and private-sector leaders.
